Kitchen Wars, Hair thus far
Here are some pictures of my hair as I transition from a relaxer to all natural! My last perm was June 13, 2008. I'm looking forward to getting sisterlocks. I'm doing my research reading every blog I can read and trying to decide if I will do the BC or leave the perm ends. My hair in the "kitchen" really coils.
"I have been in Sorrow's kitchen and licked out all the pots. Then I have stood on the peaky mountain wrapped in rainbows, with a harp and a sword in my hands." ~Zora Neale Hurston

No More Perms
Well,
Things are changing. I've made the decision to go natural. I've been natural at different times in my life. I did not get a perm until I was 15 years old. I lived in Los Angeles at the time and my hair could handle a press and curl.
I've decided to go natural for a couple of reasons (1) I'm tired of my scalp suffering, (2) I'm tired of seeing my hair on the bathroom floor, and (3) I want to be free.
I want to get sisterlocks. So, I'm waiting patiently and learning how to care for my transitional hair. Waiting is not easy.
